| Family Support |  | This team is designed to work with families to ensure the success of their children. The team focuses on developing plans to meet the needs of individual students who are having difficulty, by promoting family involvement, implementing attendance plans, and integrating community and school resources.
Parents of identified students are invited to attend an informational meeting with the team. The concerns regarding the student are presented and facts such as work samples and test scores are also stated. The team and the parents devise an academic or behavioral support plan which is then documented and put in place, including expectations of the parents to work with the student at home. Communication between school and home is vital. The team then meets again in 4-6 weeks to evaluate the student's progress and to determine a further course of action if needed.
