We have two 5th grade teachers at Prosperity, Ms. Killeen-Adrian and Mrs. Davin. Students in 5th grade have a lot going on. There is a big focus on reading, writing, and mathematics to help students prepare for the important tests they take in the 5th grade.
Children's Water Festival
On Wednesday, September 27, 2006, Ms. Davin's and Ms. Killeen-Adrian's students spent the day at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds participating in the ninth annual Metro Children's Water Festival. This educational event, jointly funded and planned by many civic and business organizations, is designed to provide students with hands-on opportunities to learn about such things as where water goes when the toilet is flushed, how tiny bugs can serve as an indicator of water quality, the importance of wetlands, and basic water science.
