All EA's (non-bilingual) and TA's will be back with the exception of MaryEllen Cheeseman, who is not being replaced. We will be buying 2 extra days the Social Worker position in addition to the 2 days provided by the district. Cuts and Changes: With the ELL money there is enough to buy 4 teachers. The plan is to have the ELL teachers team with 2 grade levels to implement readers and writers workshop. ELL EAs will be cut to a total of .5 position. A priority (should additional monies become available) would restore the Hmong EA position to full time. If there are any comments, please turn them in by Monday, May 1st. SCIP Document: Sharon reviewed the SCIP plan and members were asked to review the document and send any comments to the principal by next week.
Other Business: Mollie Blake learned at the union meeting that only 70 students from the Parkway's closing have opted to go to Dayton's Bluff. Discussion followed about the implications on Prosperity's enrollment. Our building capacity is 350. We are presently at 292. Patrol picnic is May 14. Prosperity will be leading the parade as recognition for a good job. The meeting was adjourned at 7:20
