Saint Paul Public Schools

The Saint Paul Public Schools offer a world of opportunities for a multicultural population of more than 42,000 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Saint Paul Public Schools radiates a multicultural energy that prepares students to be successful in the global economy. About 29 percent of Saint Paul Public School students are Asian; 28 percent Caucasian; 29 percent African American, 12 percent Latino/Hispanic and 2 percent American Indian.

Because of our location in Minnesota's capital city, Saint Paul Public Schools presents students with an enormous range of experiences.  Our kids go to world class museums and theatres.  They interact with artists, musicians, authors and scientists.  Through partnerships with local companies, our district can offer students access to exploring and learning opportunities that only a large urban city can offer.

About our School

Prosperity Heights Elementary School is a small, Saint Paul Public neighborhood school. All students attending Prosperity are afforded a free nutritious breakfast every morning.  We are one of the smallest schools in the city, ensuring personal attention for every student.  Likewise, class sizes are small. Teaching is supplemented by weekly one-on-one tutoring by volunteers from 3M, the University of Minnesota, the Twin Cities Actuarial Club, senior citizens, and more.

Prosperity Heights School provides children with a top quality, individualized education in a small, close-knit atmosphere. Most apparent at Prosperity is the focus on maximizing each child's abilities with an array of choices for all types of learners. Prosperity offers an abundance of physical opportunities for students to participate in such as a physical education class, bicycles for student use, track and field day, learning to ice skate for 1st graders, a camping experience for 3rd graders, a parade and picnic for our wonderful bus patrols and an interactive dance club.

Fundraising Opportunities
Want to help Prosperity raise funds? Here is an easy way: save boxtops, labels and bottle caps. Click on "Fundraising Opportunities" above to see a list.

Campbell's will accept the UPC seals from most products instead of the front label. They will accept lids from V8 juices, V8 Splash and V-Fusion and Prego pasta sauce. Teachers suggested that we encourage families to send in the complete label instead of just cutting out the UPC, since we would then have to sort by the little tiny numbers listed on them.

I want to thank you and the Family Support team for meeting with me yesterday.  I am very optimistic about this school year, because I see that Skyler has already made progress after one month at Prosperity.  I'm sure that the teachers at Crossroads (Skyler's school last year) did what they could, but I feel that Prosperity is doing above and beyond what is expected and Skyler and I appreciate that.
