Our Class in the Courtyard
My name is Dianna Reed. I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher. This is my 3rd year here at Prosperity Heights. I have also taught 3rd grade for many years at another school in St. Paul. I am excited to begin my 14th year of teaching. I currently possess a teaching license in Minnesota and hold a Master’s of Education Degree from the University of Minnesota. Thank you for allowing me to help make this year as successful as possible for your child.

Your child will be assigned homework every night. Expect to see math homework, spelling lists, and/or other assignments. All students at Prosperity are also required to read for 30 minutes at home daily. Starting the first day of school your child will be bringing home a record form for you to sign verifying that s/he did her/his reading.

In order to keep you informed about your child’s progress, I will be sending home progress reports at the end of

CLASS PETS
We have a guinea pig named Fuzzy. He is about 5 years old and loves to run in the grass and play with kids. He is a plant eater, but normally eats hard crunchy pellets, kind of like granola. Fuzzy gets super excited when I bring him carrots and celery, just like you may if I were to bring hot Cheetos.

We also have 2 goldfish who have been swimming around for 1 and 1/2 years.  They are named Finns and Nemo.

A little turtle also calls room 144 her home.  She is called Megan.  She is 1 and 1/2 years old.
