Our Core Values - Specialized, Individual Attention for All Students

Prosperity Heights School strives to enrich and serve the community by nurturing, education, and challenging our diverse student population and their families on our mutual life-long journey to become responsible, productive, and contributing members of society.

Prosperity Heights Elementary School is a community school, which means that students are not bussed. Therefore, all students live in the immediate neighborhood - your neighborhood.

It is also one of the smallest schools in the city (with a total enrollment of 320 K-6 students), ensuring personal attention for every student. Likewise, class sizes are small. Teaching is also supplemented by weekly one-on-one tutoring by volunteers from 3M, the University of Minnesota, the Twin Cities Actuarial Club, and senior citizens.

In addition to individualized classroom instruction in reading, writing, math, social studies and art, students are offered the following:
daily instruction in music, physical education or a library visit with certified specialists.
hands on computer lab time with a specialist every third class day
Reading Counts, a computerized reading comprehension testing program.
lessons exceeding the State Graduation Standards.
and MORE!
