| Parent/Teacher/Guardian Group (PTG) |  | What is the Parent/Teacher/Guardian Group (PTG)?
This group consists of parents who wish to help plan fundraisers, a teachers appreciation dinner, and the annual school carnival. The Principal attends the meetings, along with the Family Involvement Coordinator, Marilyn Lindstrom. PTG provides a place to communicate the needs of students and the school, and provides an opportunity for parents to contribute.
The PTG has a leader, a secretary, and a treasurer. The following parents and staff are serving for the 2009-10 school year:
Interim Leader – Marilyn Lindstrom
Secretary – Crystal Rosales
Co-Treasurers – Becky Gonzalez and Marilyn Lindstrom
Listed below are some of the ways PTG has helped in the past:
•assignment notebooks for 4th-6th grades
•ribbons for track & field day
•appropriately leveled books for 1st grade reading curriculum
•animal farm field trip for Kindergarten
•running club t shirts
•buses for various events
•staff appreciation dinner during fall conferences
There are no dues. The group will meet on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.; October 13, December 8, February 9, April 13 and May 25. The meetings usually last an hour. Free childcare in the gym. A Spanish interpreter is available upon request.
