Welcome to First Grade! Hello. My name is Bridget Stewart and I am your child’s First grade teacher. This is the seventh year I have taught at Prosperity Heights Elementary and I am very excited to have your child in the class. In First grade your child will be introduced to reading, writing, math, and social skills throughout the school year. In addition, your child will discover and explore science and social studies topics through curriculum units. I will send home a yellow folder with your child daily containing homework and school notes. I will also send home a green mail folder containing class work your child has completed. Please look though your child’s folders every day and return them to school the next day . I will also send home bi-weekly newsletters to keep you informed and updated on what your child is learning in school. I will be posting a daily class schedule to explain the curriculum and activities in your child’s school day. If you have any questions or concerns please call me at school (293-8695).
